Christin is ready for SA schools comp

THE heart of a volunteer relies on a number of factors, which include passion, time, energy and dedication. Brought together by her passion for helping others, Christin Robson puts her passion into action. The 15-year-old is representing her school, Durban North College, as a finalist in SA Schools Ambassadors competition to stand a chance of becoming their ambassador.

The competition aims to empower young South African schoolgirls with the necessary knowledge and skills to become an ambassador for their schools.

Robson who is a former Miss Petite Teen SA winner is involved in various charity outreach programmes.

“Doing charity work is very important to me. It gives me an opportunity to give back to my community. It just feels great to be able to help others. I’ve been working with Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, an international voluntary organisation, for many years and I’m involved in a number of projects they partake in. This competition is also giving me a chance at representing my school, which is a huge honour,” she said.

Finalist interviews and registration will take place on 25 May and the final gala event will be held at the Shetaton Pretoria Hotel.
Robson is also doing the Reach for a Dream Slipper Day Project on 11 May.

Apart from the RFAD slipper day initiative, Robson will be hosting a Mother’s Day event at St Michaels Church in Redhill on 12 May as part of her community outreach project as well.
