The women recognised at this year’s event were, Sharon van Straaten, Farrah Khan-Maharajh, Rachel Uys, Carol van Tonder, Michelle Currie, Arianne Hayes-Hill, Cathryn Lee Aylett, Jodie-Lee Donnison, Claire de Sylva and Alexandra Wallis.
Farrah Khan-Maharajh was honoured at the ceremony. She was joined by her mother, Arlene and her friend, Larissa Bhagwandin.

La Lucia Library recently honoured several women from the north Durban area to say 'thank you' for their contributions to the community. The awards ceremony, which was the brainchild of head librarian, Andy Dowley, was well received by the recipients. Vigie Padyachee and Andy Dowley of the La Lucia Library who organised the event.
Jodie-Lee Donnison was also one of the recipients.
