UMHLANGA’S Gateway Theater of Shopping is set to undergo a facelift of sorts with an expansion project. The project will add and extend a number of stores as development has already begun. Akash Maharaj, portfolio manager for Gateway, said the project will add a further 20 000 m² to the shopping centre. There will be more than 20 new stores as well as two new decks of parking bays.

“The project is in response to ongoing demand from both local and international retailers wanting to either expand or open premises at Gateway. The upcoming development will bring about a new era for Gateway as we push the boundaries of South African retail.
