New chapter begins for Glenashley learners

GLENASHLEY Junior Primary welcomed 101 Grade one learners to their school this morning. Among the new group of enthusiastic learners were a set of triplets. The Grade R learners also started their schooling year today. Five sets of twins and a set of triplets formed part of the new Grade R learners at the school.
The annual Spur Riverside Festival proved to be a huge hit once again with youth from all over the KZN region with a staggering 35 per cent increase on last year’s number of entered teams participating.

Youth show their love for hockey festival

Derek Field, head of Riverside Hockey Club’s Junior Division, said the number of participating teams shot up to 119 from last year’s 88 teams.

Old Boys’ celebrations at Northwood

Hundreds of people attended the prestigious Northwood Old Boys Day on Saturday. Previous students had an opportunity to catch up with friends while enjoying the various food vendors, tea gardens and music. The sunny day was also accompanied by various friendly rugby and hockey matches.

Chelsea hosts night carnival

Fun was the order of the day at Chelsea Preparatory School recently hosted its annual Nigh Carnival.
Greenwood Park Primary School hosted its annual fun walk last week and pupils from all grades marched through the area as part of the festivities.
