9 injured in Durban North smash

NINE people were injured after a collision involving a minibus taxi and a light motor vehicle this morning in Durban North.

Crisis Medical’s Kyle van Reenen said the accident occurred at the intersection of Kensington Drive and Beachway shortly after 7am.

“When paramedics arrived they found the injured clambering to free themselves from the wrecked taxi.

“A call for more resources was made by our emergency contact centre and once all of the injured were treated on scene, they were taken by ambulances to various hospitals for further care,” he said.

Van Reenen added the cause of the incident remains unclear.
