Man arrested for using fraudulent credit card

A MAN was arrested for using a fraudulent credit card at a convenience store on Tuesday night. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, at about 8.30pm multiple panic signals were received from a service station on Umhlanga Rocks Drive.

“The man had allegedly been involved in fraudulent credit card activity in the service station’s convenience store, before fleeing the scene towards the Sunningdale area. A description of the man was circulated to all available vehicles in the area and he was positively identified walking in the area and was promptly arrested. The man was reportedly involved in numerous fraudulent activities prior to this and the shop staff had been alerted to be on the lookout for him,” he said.

The suspect was handed over to the Durban North SAPS.
